Both of the boot managers available to use can handle the dual-booting process; they can even handle more than two OSes, but the Mac's boot manager won’t recognize the Ubuntu OS without a bit of fiddling, and the GRUB boot manager isn't particularly easy to use. Boot Camp 5.1 includes several Mac drivers so that Windows will recognize your trackpad, Thunderbolt, USB 3.0, the iSight (or FaceTime) camera, the Eject key on the Mac keyboard, networking, audio, graphics, and so on. A Boot Camp Control Panel for Windows and an Apple Boot Camp system-tray item will be added. Boot Camp is a program that allows users of Intel-based Macintosh computers to run the Microsoft Windows XP operating system. Once Boot Camp has been installed on the Mac's hard drive, the machine can be restarted (re-booted) using either Mac OS X or Windows XP. Boot Camp will be incorporated as a standard feature of the next release of Mac OS X, known as Leopard.
Boot Camp for Mac OS X Lion (10.7) supports Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate editions, 32-bit or 64-bit. Boot Camp for Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6) supports Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2, Windows Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, Business or Ultimate, and Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional or Ultimate. Jan 20, 2011 Open the Control Panel, click on Startup Disk, and change the setting; this item will only appear if the Boot Camp drivers are installed. Alternatively, restart the computer with the X or Option keys held down; in the second case, select the Mac OS X system, push the button with the straight arrow, and change the startup disk from System Preferences afterwards.

You can set the default operating system to either macOS or Windows. The default operating system is the one you want to use when you turn on or restart your Mac.

Set the default operating system
In Windows on your Mac, click in the right side of the taskbar, click the Boot Camp icon , then choose Boot Camp Control Panel.
If a User Account Control dialog appears, click Yes.
Select the startup disk that has the default operating system you want to use.
If you want to start up using the default operating system now, click Restart. Otherwise, click OK.

Restart in macOS
In Windows on your Mac, do one of the following:
Restart using Startup Manager: Restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Option key. When the Startup Manager window appears, release the Option key, select your macOS startup disk, then press Return.
If you’re using a portable Mac with an external keyboard, make sure you press and hold the Option key on the built-in keyboard.
Restart using Boot Camp Control Panel: Click in the right side of the taskbar, click the Boot Camp icon , then choose Restart in macOS.
This also sets the default operating system to macOS.
